I recently came upon a post on Instagram discussing procrastination. What the therapist explained is that people are not “procrastinators,” per se, but that we have a “habit of procrastination,” and because it’s a habit, it can be broken. According to this therapist, procrastination is caused by stress, and once we acknowledge the stress and I guess, decompress, we can get on with it.
I sometimes fall into a “habit of procrastination” when writing restaurant reviews. In the case of this review of ARVI I cannot deny experiencing an unusual amount of stress over the past month since I dined there. And it’s not because I have anything negative to say, but, quite the contrary, I’m deeply in awe of this team. The stress, therefore, comes from trying to convey that.
